Hi All,

I am on a orange 120 min for ?15 a month, I have scene the 02 750
+ 750 text, or 1000 min +150 text anytime tariff which I want for
?35 a month. But you have to have the Samsung z320i or s500i, as I
work outside I like the nokia 5140 and would like to carry on using
this after I unlock it, but 02 say I have to use there phone is this
true, or could I use any as I do with orange.

Yes and no, problem being is that your current phone is only 2G and the
sim card for the Z320 and S500 are USIM's, your old 2G phone wont work
with a USIM afaik.

I think this is correct, someone will correct me if I'm wrong :)

AFAIK O2 do not insist on your using their phone (3 do, but that is another
story). Indeed you might get an even better deal if you are not getting a
new phone with the contract. OTOH you are dealing with O2, so trying to get
a sensible deal and then getting them to honour it can be difficult.

o2 do "sim only" tarrifs, which means they'll send you a sim-card, and you
can put it in your phone - they are contracts still, and offer better deals,
due to the fact you're not getting a free phone.

What you could do, however, is sell the phone on ebay? Get the highest value
phone for free that you can, thus you're not losing out :-)

have a browse.
