I downloaded the 10.1 updater and double-clicked the
"dmx2004_101_update_en.exe" icon. All it does is open what looks like a
command line DOS window, then exits immediately. How do I apply this update?

Hi,

How big is the update exe file you downloaded? It should be around 37MB. If it's
not that size, there may have been a problem downloading the file. I'd suggest
you try again. If you have the same problems, let me know. You can email me

Hello,
Im having the same problem with the updater. Validated download size and
integrity.

In the file properties i unchecked the 'Close on Exit' check box in the
Program tab and was able to see the text that pops up in the dos window.

'Program too big to fit in memory'

TaskManager in XP says there is plenty.

When the link to download is single clicked in IE it shows up as a page of
ASCII characters. Could this file have been uploaded to the server in ASCII
mode instead of Binary? Just a guess but being able to install this update
would be great.

Will be there temporarily. Please let me know when you've downloaded it.

I have let Adobe know about the problem accessing the files from their site.

i have the same problem whit mac osx 10.4.11!
cant open the DMG-File, there is always an error-message!
downloaded the update 5times also in different languages.
