"Reflective" mode is very washed out unless I can turn off the scanner light source. "Negative" mode only works with the 35mm negative-holder mask in place, which defeats the purpose for the large negatives. -- Fred Stone

Your best solution is a scanner designed for 4x5 negs, starts with the Epson V700, which isn't a bad choice. Tom
