I am trying to rebuild a computer with a new motherboard (A8N-VM)
replacing a gigabyte board that seemed to be giving me lots of video
problems. With just the mobo, a 3700+ cpu, 2x512 Corsair and 650W
power supply, I'm only getting a solid green LED light coming on.
Neither the PS fan nor the cpu fan are coming on, and no recognition
of any video or IDE.

I put the components back on the old mobo, and everything worked
(except video issues from before).

Am I missing something simple here?

Did you connect the ATX12V (2*2) power connector behind the mouse/keyboard
connections??

1 -- Are you using a case power switch to try to turn on the MB, or
are you just shorting out the jumper posts on the MB?

2 -- What troubleshooting have you done to rule out a problem with the
PSU? Is it the same PSU from the original computer that DOES spin
it's fan when used with the old motherboard?

3 -- Since your video is built in, may we presume that you have
connected keyboard and monitor?
