From: snooper on 8 Jan 2006 11:26 Just installed an A8V and got it running fine with XP Pro(32b). removed win drive and installed Suse Linux 10.0 and it ran fine. Went back to XP Pro and now i get "a network cable is unplugged" msg. I have tried another cable, a repair install of XP, a clean XP install, reinstalled all lan drivers, and flashed back down to bios 0218 from 0219. Still dead network. What am I missing? -- ---- Domey
From: ralph wilson on 8 Jan 2006 12:39 Behind a router? or just connected to dsl modem? start , network places , click on your view network connections ,your internet gateway should show up if it does not you need to run " eather setup home etc. or right click networking adapter to reset it, turn off your router and your dsl , then start your dsl and your router." you can disable and your 1394 connection if not using fire wire to free up some system resorces too.
