From: Gene Wirchenko on 28 Jun 2010 19:45 While I have been able to getAccess 97 running under XP, I still can not get any SR 2 to install. SR2CHK.EXE gives the same error that any SR 2 gives when I try to install it, namely The Microsoft Office 97 SR-2 patch cannot be applied to your computer. Either Office 97 is not installed on this computer, or there are files from multiple versions of Office 97 on this computer. Try installing Office 97 or running the latest SR-1 patch to correct the problem. Or, contact Microsoft Technical Support for further assistance. Covering the points in the message in order: It is. There are no other versions. I have reinstalled Access. Is that sufficient? I have. Any ideas? Sincerely, Gene Wirchenko
