From: markp on 1 May 2007 15:22 We are currently evaluating the use of Ada 2005 functionality in our projects. Are there any compiler manufacturers besides AdaCore's GNAT that support Ada 2005? Further, is Ada 2005 an official standard at this point in time? Thank you.

Greenhills has said that none of their customers have asked for it where none is defined as just me and apparently some customers in Europe. If people don't ask, it will not happen. So, if you are considering them as a vendor, I'd recommend asking and then considering all aspects of what the vendors offer and vote with your money and select a vendor that at least shows some level of commitment to the features you find important. IBM (third hand) has indicated that some work is being done on Ada 2005 for the Rational Ada developer tools but I have not seen anything on their website or trade magazines. As far as I know the standard is still not fully official. The technical features have been approved. Not sure what is taking ISO so long to get it out the door at this point.

ISO published Amendment 1 on 2007-03-09: http://www.iso.org/iso/en/CatalogueDetailPage.CatalogueDetail?CSNUMBER=45001&ICS1=35&ICS2=60&ICS3= -- Ludovic Brenta.

Do you find the remarks on AdaMulti in the Wikibook informative? Should something be added? http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Ada_Programming/Installing#AdaMulti_from_Green_Hills_Software > As far as I know the standard is still not fully official. I had not looked carefully since January and since nothing had been posted here (at least that I saw) and nothing was on AdaIC I assumed it was still unpublished.
