From: Melissa on 12 May 2008 23:35 MS Project currently allows the window to be split into 2 panes so one can view, for e.g., the Gantt chart on the top and task details on the bottom. I find this function extremely useful and I usually display Task Details on the bottom pane with Predecessor/Successor fields. However, I also find there is some blank space on the right half of this pane and would like to suggest MS to allow further splitting of the bottom pane. An e.g. of how I would use this suggested feature in totality is: 1. Top pane - display gantt chart with task name, start/end, dates, indicators, etc. 2. Bottom left pane - Task Details form with Predecessor/Successor fields 3. Bottom right pane - Notes form So when I select any task in Top pane, I can immediately see my Predecessors/Successors in bottom left pane, and Notes in bottom right pane. Of course, an advanced feature of this suggestion is to allow users to customise what they want to see in bottom left and bottom right panes. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. From: Melissa on 20 May 2008 23:17 I didn't realise MS doesn't read this site at all. I thought that's what the "Suggestion" section is for :-P Thanks for letting me know and I will go post my suggestion on their MS Project site.
