From: J. Reeves <J. on 3 Jan 2006 12:48 (I'm using Access2003 (2000 file format). I've written a questionnaire (using Word) and now want to enter and analyse the responses. I started off by constructing a single table with an associated form but ran into problems as the questionnaire consists of 12 pages with up to 3 multi-part questions on each page. Maximum size of form is about 3 questions. OK, construct multiple forms i.e. form1 = questions 1 to 3, form2 = q4 to 6, etc. but still use a single table. Then ran into problem with maximum table size = 255 records. OK, break the single table into multiple tables (each with its associated form) which reflect the questions on each page of the questionnaire. My question is: How do I link each of the forms (and tables) so that I can work down each form (page) and then step to the next form (page)? (The Access file is 76MB without any data being entered(!) but that is probably due to the size of the forms. The Word document is only 224KB)
From: Jerry Whittle on 3 Jan 2006 13:47 Go to the following page and scroll down to Duane Hookom's list. I believe that the At Your Survey 2000 file is a very good example of what you need. http://www.rogersaccesslibrary.com/OtherLibraries.asp -- Jerry Whittle Light. Strong. Cheap. Pick two. From: J. Reeves on 3 Jan 2006 14:26 Thanks Jerry. I'd just found Duane Hookom's list and downloaded it. I haven't had a chance to do more than glance at it yet but it looks as if it will go a long way towards solving my problem. However, I'd still like to know how to link multiple forms together. From: J. Reeves on 4 Jan 2006 17:48 Jerry, I've found the the "Command Button tool" in the Forms Toolbox. This along with Duane Hookom's example solves all my problems, at least all the ones I'm aware of at present. It's a pity the Command Button tool didn't show up in any of the searches that I made, but that is probably due to me not phrasing my question correctly. Thanks for the prompt response.
