From: Pd on 5 May 2008 06:12 I was thinking only a few moments ago that it must be a few days now since I've backed up, and I really must fire up the Time Machine disk and let it do its thing. A dialogue alert just popped up saying Time Machine hasn't backed up for 10 days, you should ought to back up, y'know? Nice to know the application designers understand human frailty. -- Pd

I'd probably have a hard time restoring my entire system from it, so it's far from perfect, but it's certainly better than what I had before, ie nothing. Jim -- "Well, well. Likewise here (again, thanks to Herve for getting me to look at it once more). >I'd probably have a hard time restoring my entire system >from it, so it's far from perfect, Hmmm. I'll have to actually trial that from booting a Leopard disk. There's no reason why it shouldn't work, unless the Leopard DVD doesn't have SMB protocols running, or doesn't give a UI to mount a remote drive. > but it's certainly better than what I >had before, ie nothing. I had backups already using Deja Vu, but this is neater and has worked out more reliable. Cheers - Jaimie -- The physics and scientific approach of Armageddon was criticized for its poor adherence to the laws of physics. This has led NASA to show the film as part of its management training program. Prospective managers are asked to find as many inaccuracies in the movie as they can.

I'm not sure how you'd get it to show unsupported drives from the boot DVD. Jim -- "Well, well. We've come a long way from the Prime Minister's exploding cake." - Adam West, Batman.
