eBay seller yaton is now offering a 'RGBS to VGA' converter:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=310071795151

Tho' less expensive than the Hauai board (which we _know_ can be hacked
to use the intensity bit) I don't know that this is usable for our
(C128) purposes.

I had been thinking about buying another of his CV-04 CGA to
composite/s-video converters just in case I needed a backup. Now I may
get one of these instead.

If anyone in the group has info, pro or con, on this board, I would
appreciate reading it.

TIA, & salaam,

Do you mean Wei-Ya? Never heard of Hauai.

Is there a web site with hard technical information on the unit?

The "Highway" (Wei-Ya) board I modded last year with the intensity pin hack
has six lines for the RGB input, while the new board being offered by Yaton
has eight, so it would be interesting to find out what those two extra lines
are for.

Agreed. I will send him a question on eBay to see if there's technical docs
on the web anywhere.

You're right. I was mis-remembering the name of the company. A search
for Wei-Ya reveals the co. name to be Huai.
