I have a 4890C and recently HP made available a small executable that installs just the drivers - it takes about 3 secs to install. Now I can use my 4890 with Vuescan and Omnipage 16 WITHOUT the bloated HP scanning software that doesn't work properly anyway. If there are not specific drivers for your scanner from HP - try downloading and installing the 4890 drivers.. just might work??
