From: hazmatspec on 15 Sep 2005 14:40 Apparently the A8V deluxe motherboard has failed on my system. I am unable to boot... it just sits there and does nothing. I called ASUS tech support and they gave me some instructions to follow. Take out the memory and try to boot. Take out the processor and try to boot. When I take out the processor I get the voice saying "No CPU installed" When I put the processor back in and try to boot I get nothing. Tech support said that this indicates a problem with the CPU. I replaced the CPU - AMD 64 3200+ - with a new AMD boxed CPU. When I attempted to boot I got a " System failed due to overclocking" After looking through the manual, I shut the machine down and tried to reboot and get into the BIOS setup. That failed. Since then the machine is dead. Anyone got any ideas?

I got a power supply tester, and checked out the power supply. That is good. I cleared the BIOS. Since I could not get anything to work I sent the motherboard back to ASUS for repair. hazmatspec wrote: > Apparently the A8V deluxe motherboard has failed on my system.
