Thank you Mike Mueller ... 3 Feb 2006 20:44

Why Mic Pre Output Transformers? Why would I want a mic pre with an output transformer if its signal output cable is 3 feet and the AC plugged into the same outlet as all the other components? I know it provides isolation but the pres that I use now do not have the output transformers and I do not have any problems. I am upgrading to a new p... 11 Jan 2006 21:52
Fabric for acoustic panels So, We're going to be covering a bunch of 2' x 4' (2") Owens Corning 703 tiles and hanging them. Seems Guilford of Maine 701 fabric is the standard. Looks great, lots of colors, about $19 a yard. Ouch. I've found some decent burlap in many colors for $3.50 a yard. It just doesn't look quite as nice as i'd lik... 13 Jan 2006 02:29
Happy Birthday Elvis I'm surprised that nobody's mentioned it yet, but if you see Elvis today, wish him a happy birthday. And these days, it's about as easy to see an Elvis around his birthday as it is to see a Santa Claus around Christmas. About 7-8 years ago I was working on a project in Memphis around this time and Elvises were ... 10 Jan 2006 21:49
What temp should my basement studio be? I have a studio in my basement, but it gets quite cold. I am starting to wonder if that can be damaging. I have a de-humidifer, thinking that humidity control is most important, but I can't help but think this cold can't be good. It is about 61 degrees right now... I have guitars (electrics and acoustics) as w... 9 Jan 2006 09:38

How Do Wiretaps Work? I was watching the movie "The Conversation", with Gene Hackman as the 'old school' surveillance genius (great move btw)...... And I was thinking about the recent wiretap controversy, and I'm sure the techniques must be quite different today than in the early 70s'. And is this really legal? ... 9 Jan 2006 10:10 |
