From: Chuck on 26 Dec 2007 15:19 Does anyone know of a program that will let one adjust the Bass and tremble of a usb speaker on a UMPC. I have gone to sound & hareware, the sound properties will not allow the adjustment of the Bass / tremble. I really, need to be able to change these settings. My wife has lost her voice and we use the pc for a text to speech device only but the bass is very deep. Any help will be appericated Chuck

The usb aspect also throws a curve in that what comes out of that is going to be driver specific, so, info on the usb speakers you are using would help there as well. From: Chuck on 26 Dec 2007 17:51 My Wife, has NextupTalker as a text to speech program (she had her tounge and voice box removed recently) With Neospeech Kate's voice, on her UMPC we are using a Jlab-Flex USB speaker. I have a hearing impairment and what is spoken is sometimes not real clear because of the deep Bass. I have tryed to adjust the sound properties in sound and hardware but there are no adjustments for Bass and Tremble. Try some of the different speaker options in audio setup... for example, a large speaker system might deemphasize the bass/ The voice will have an impact on this... have to believe that there is a high pitch voice model option out there somewhere.
