From: just_G_man on 19 Dec 2007 14:54 ok, let me know. thanks
From: Erik **Adobe Community Expert** on 19 Dec 2007 22:38 This won't be as easy as I'd hoped, I don't think... I never installed OS 9 on my Mac Mini, which currently runs OS X. In order to install A'ware 3 on the Mac, I gotta have OS 9 installed. I could possibly do that, just gotta find the install CDs and see if it's going to bork my current setup or not. If not, shouldn't be a problem. I forgot about A'ware 3.5 and don't have it installed on either the Mac or the PC, but pretty sure it was just a 'dot upgrade' and I should be able to convert from A'ware 3 to A'ware 4, skipping 3.5...but will have to see to be sure. Otherwise, I do have an old Mac 8100 that should have everything installed that is needed, but I've not fired it up in years now so not sure how well it'll work. Will give that a try tomorrow. If it boots up fine, the process shouldn't be a problem. If I can get OS Classic (9) installed on the Mac, shouldn't be a problem. Will see.... Of course, if you have any other resources or offers, freely take them up! Will keep you posted. From: Mike Baker **Adobe Community Expert** on 19 Dec 2007 22:48 I've done a few of these in the past. After you convert from 2 to 3 search your calcs for "DeletedVariable". Find the corresponding variable in the origional file and re-create the variable in your version 3 file. Also look for ExecutingIconID and change it to IconID. When you do the conversion from 3 to 3.5 look for ExecutingIconID and change it to IconID (I don't remember if this was done in the 3 -> 3.5 or in the 2 -> 3 version update. Erik, if you end up that you cannot make this work, my Mac Mini has OS 9 installed. Between us we could work it out :-) Steve -- Adobe Community Expert: Authorware, Flash Mobile and Devices http://www.magnoliamultimedia.com
From: Erik **AdobeCommunityExpert** on 20 Dec 2007 11:15 May take you up on that. Going to see if I can get OS 9 installed on my Mini too. If it takes a complete re-install, screw it...and we'll chat ;-) My old 8100 doesn't even have a monitor hooked up anymore and, frankly, I don't want to deal with trying to get it working...poor old McGal...
