From: just_G_man on 19 Dec 2007 08:52 I have a Mac version of a authorware 2 file and need to get it to current version. Anyone know or aware of the fastest way to do this? Will I have to do it the old way of going 2 to 3 to 4 to 5, then 7?
From: Erik **AdobeCommunityExpert** on 19 Dec 2007 10:05 Yes, you'll have to do 2 > 3 > 4 > 5 > 7 At least you can skip 6 and 6.5... There were Mac and PC versions from version 2 through version 4, I believe. So once your Mac file is in any of those versions, it can be converted to the same version on the PC, then the upgrading continued. I have Authorware 3 for Mac and PC so would do the platform conversion at that point. Let me know if you need help and what version you can get the file to on your own, though I don't offer this assistance for free. From: just_G_man on 19 Dec 2007 10:32 Do you have any of those versions? Or can you migrate the file?

Stuff done in Authorware 2 is likely to be fairly simple, since most of the features we count on today weren't in Authorware then. Authorware 7 is a dead end at this point. Why not reauthor in a product with a future?
From: Erik **AdobeCommunityExpert** on 19 Dec 2007 12:43 I at least did at one point. I've not fired up any of those old versions in a long time, so will have to verify I've got everything needed, but overall, yeap, I should be able to get the product up to the version you need. I'd up your ver.2 file to ver.3 on the Mac, then convert that to v.3 on the PC, then on up to v.7 When I'm back in the home office this evening, I'll try to remember to check and see that I have all needed versions installed on the Mac and PC. just_G_man wrote: > Do you have any of those versions?
