SCO compliance problems
Hi I am trying to get my Authorware piece to pass a SCORM compliance test for a LMS. Their SCORM test is throwing back certain failures with my piece and I was wandering if anyone can suggest how I change my module to enable these to pass. These are the results of the test: http://www.cmlwebdesign.com/SS1... 5 Aug 2008 07:03
What is Flex
I was looking at an earlier post, which mention Flex. It's the first time I had heard about Flex. I had a quick look at the website. I sure not where Flex fits in with the other Adobe application i.e What is its key selling point. Is it doing something that other applications such as Flash can't do? It says: "F... 22 Jul 2008 22:58
Toolbook bandwagon
Hi A while back I read that Toolbook were offering discounts to Authroware developers. I was wondering whether many of the AW developers are moving over to Toolbook. Or are they investing their future in Flash, Captivate and Flex? We've got Toolbook 8 at work. I'm tempted to learn it, but it looks complicat... 22 Jul 2008 20:55
Failure to launch in Vista
Users CD fails to start in Vista. I have a medical CD that launches with autostart. It points to my launching Authorware7 Title.exe file. I have received no other errors from users. Any ideas what might cause this? Is there a Vista compatability problem? Here is what the user said: "I have your RCIS cd and I a... 20 Jul 2008 11:25
Error when quitting application
Hi there: I just published a program that will serve as an instrument to an experiment. All went fine except on the last screen. On the last screen there is some text telling them that they're done and to press the "quit" button to end the exercise. Upon this, an error message pops up saying "Cannot co... 18 Jul 2008 12:22
Sign-on Application
:confused; I need to be able to track who has taken the cbt. I have created a sign-on application to have Authorware store user information to text file. If I understand correctly, when a user signs on, authorware writes the information to the text file. I have tested it on my harddrive and it works fine. H... 18 Jul 2008 18:34
"Count Up" Timer (& Need to Display Different Time Denomination)
Is it just my newsreader or is there something up with this thread. I use Mozilla Thunderbird. Every time I open the news reader this thread is underlined, which typically means there is a new reply. Yet when I open it there is nothing. Is anyone else seeing odd behavior? ... 16 Jul 2008 21:18
SCORM Compatability
We have a file created by someone else, in an older version of AW. (We are looking at it in AW 7.) Originally, the course was distributed on CD-ROM and could also be loaded onto a LAN. We want to publish it for use on an LMS, and it needs to be SCORM compatible. When I try and publish using the HTML LMS KO temp... 16 Jul 2008 09:54
From AW to Flash_Random Navigation
Thanks Amy for the idea. I've gotten around the random problem. My other concern is for the next random scenes to be confined only to those that have not yet been chosen, much like limiting to "Unused Paths" in Authorware, and then to exit or go to another scene or frame once all scenes or frames have been vi... 16 Jul 2008 15:05
Sprite Icons
I have been playing wmv files with windows media player loaded in a sprite icon. Now they want me to load random video files but I have found that the videos don't play unless you have a literal path in the FileName Property. Is there a way to load random names/paths into the sprite? ... 8 Jul 2008 16:11
