From: stpatsfoundation on 24 Nov 2006 07:45 I'm looking for a scanner with automatic document feeder and OCR scanning. Can anyone tell me if there are machines (scanners or photocopier-scanners) that can automatically generate a PDF file (with OCR) without user intervention? Please email me. Thanks for your help. Vince

There are probably others, but the Brother MFC-3280 does this.
From: Danny on 3 Dec 2006 06:19 Like Michael mentioned, many scanners would fall into this criteria. The Fujitsu S500 is designed specifically for scanning documents quickly to PDF. Other advantages of the S500 are, 1 touch scanning... minimal user intervention, dual CCD's allowing single pass duplex scanning at 18ppm or 36ipm, auto blank page skipping if some pages are blank on the backside, auto color detection, etc... make the S500 a customer favorite for the cost. Take a look at http://www.fujitsu.com/us/services/computing/peripherals/scanners/workgroup/s500.html let me know if you have any questions, and I'd be happy to answer as best I can...
