Yes. You're having a bad day !! LOL ;-)

(sorry, couldn't help myself....)

Are you getting this from the Azureus website or is this an rpm package ? I
downloaded the newest version from the website and just did a './azureus'
and it ran fine on 10.3... Downloaded a movie without problem. Perhaps you
should launch from terminal and see what it says.

Must be the way you held your mouth when updating. I got into the same
goatrope updating on a 10.2 machine - just one, the other 3 went as
expected. I gave up, uninstalled Azureus, then installed the latest
version. Subsequent updates went well, so who knows?

BTW, the uninstall/reinstall process took a lot less time than I had already
wasted trying to fix the original.

The quirkiness of Azureus always felt to me like a java program in waaaay over its head and although it's
a tweaker's paradise for torrents, I don't see what it functionally or practically accomplishes that you
can't get from more efficient programs. The most important thing I see in using these types of progs is
the Peer Guardian Filter.

So, dine and dash with something different. Take the free hour you get from not configuring Azureus and
do something constructive while Ktorrent finishes your download in the background. Scope the girlies at
lunchtime, grab a workout at the gym, etc.

Cheers.

Tried KTorrent and it took ages to verify and then it told me some
parts were not downloaded. At least it told me how many. The cycle
started all over again.

Anybody an idea as to why it does not download (or at least save) it all
as it should?

I will be trying out different torrent programs later. Anybody an idea
for a CLI torrent, which is NOT Azureus?

Some people use libtorrent but I wouldn't know how good it is.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/libtorrent
libtorrent is a C++ implementation of the BitTorrent protocol with the
goals of being efficient and easy to use.
