I have broadband access to usenet, but not everybody does.
Methinks just an index of topics and a URL is appropriate here.

And some news servers would drop the posts that are more than x
kB (x being under 64 for my ISP for instance I think, reason why
I didn't even know the bash FAQ was posted here).
