From: mfrank01 on 13 Mar 2006 18:31 Hi, I want to clone my hard drive to an external firewire drive. I'd like the firewire drive to be bootable as well, in case my PC drive fails. What is the best software to do this? Thank you! Frank

If you image it to the external firewire drive instead, you may well be able to have more than one image on it instead, and that is quite desirable in some situations. > I'd like the firewire drive to be bootable > as well, in case my PC drive fails. That involves a lot more than just what you use to clone the drive. If the motherboard etc cant boot from the firewire drive, there is nothing any cloning software can do about that. > What is the best software to do this? I prefer True Image myself. You can download a free trial copy off their web site.
