From: gijohn69 on 5 May 2008 14:03 Hi - first post here (be gentle). Been in the print/design industry for 15 years and trying to feel my way thru Dreamweaver CSS. Biggest hurdle is trying not to compare and make it work like Indesign. Uphill battle but I'll get there! I've watched all the training videos from Total Training, VTC and Lynda.com ..... my question is: Can I make a nice Navigation Bar with Drop Down menus entirely with a div tag/CSS? (without Spry). I'd like to do something similar to what's on the page at the link below. Thanks!!! http://www.mandmcabinets.com
From: elakin on 5 May 2008 14:51 I know I'm not the best one to answer this question, because I am in the same boat as you in terms of Dreamweaver experience. But, in looking at the site and the source, this particular menu uses javascript. It is a different framework than Spry. Having said that, there are some good menus out there that are stricty CSS. Noodle around the usual sources, (A list apart, etc.) and I'm sure you will find something you like. Any reason for avoiding a framework? From: Walt F. Schaefer on 5 May 2008 15:07 That site is apparently based on Joomla. The menu is: http://www.findmysoft.com/scripts/Transmenu--Drop-down-Javascript-menu-for-Mambo-download.html -- Walt "gijohn69" <webforumsuser(a)macromedia.com> wrote in message news:fvni4v$2mv$1(a)forums.macromedia.com... > Hi - first post here (be gentle).
