OT: XP "repair install" - ATT: Sue and Glennbo - try again I recently upgraded my PC (to a Q6600, new mobo etc etc) and I ran a XP "repair install"rather than re-install everything. I know Glennbo recommends this, and so did Sue over in the AHCI (I'm not even going there) thread. OT:Best Audio Format For DVD Burn I have a 44.1khz 16 bit stereo audio track that I want to burn to DVD with the appropriate video. DVD Architect Pro 4.5 tells me it needs to compress the audio to burn to DVD. The result is degraded audio, not awful but obviously not as good as the original in some sections. Editing DVD content (video) Now that I'm able to get copies of programs onto DVD, I would to be able to edit out ads and such. I have successfully copied the program to a DVD+RW. External hard drives question Anyone use them and if so can anyone tell me a good SILENT one? Mine were cheap and I'm regretting not spending more cash on quality. (it was all they had in the shop at the time) They are, "safecom 3.5 External boxes" and they seem to have become noisier over time.
