Freeware Optimizer Here's a neat looking little utility (haven't tried it yet) that may be good for running before using your DAW. You can save the current state so it's returned after the optimize or set it back to "windows default". Of course a ..bat file could do some of the same things (but not all very easily). It's made for... 2 Apr 2008 19:41

Compatible RAM I only have 1GB RAM and I can go up to 3GB. I'm thinking of going to 2 (it's the only "cost saving" way right now). I have two sticks of 512MB right now so unfortunately I won't be able to use them to go to three. But can I use them to go to 2GB? There's 3 slots. Two have the matched 512MB pair but is it OK to ... 7 Apr 2008 22:35

Who can forget when TP and Pete L first raved in here about the Studio Projects C1? Or the VTB1? Or the Oktava MC012? We should start a running list of found deals like this. ... 4 Apr 2008 11:49

How does Sonar know to update mp3?? I've converted a bunch of wav files in Sonar 7 on my new DAW into mp3 using the mp3 converter I purchased a few years back from CW. Now today pops up "The Mp3 converter must be unlocked before use--visit CW to upgrade a previous version or to purchase a new encoder." Yikes-I don't know where the version they em... 3 Apr 2008 02:24 |
