Help, track skip
HI all I have been working on a song and a friend sent through a drum track (mp3) to add to it. About 2/3rds of the way through the song, some of the tracks begin to judder intermittently. the first 2/3rds are fine though. Any suggestions? BTW I opened his drum track in Audition and resaved it as a wav to s... 15 Apr 2008 00:59
V-Vocal Comments
I love V-Vocal, it's one of the best features added. I was using auto-tune for years, but like V-Vocal far better. The main thing about any of these tools is to use your ears. Many times I disagree with the way it tunes and make ajustments manually. Just take about an hour to read the help file, study it, and th... 17 Apr 2008 05:58

Vegas for PPT-like videos (was DAW and PowerPoint)
Thanks Max and Steve. In my case I don't have words, just photos/graphics, and embedded short video clips, using the cheezy PPT effects :-) (Max I believe you're thinking of presenting the words in sync for worship singing? The church uses something called "MediaShout" for sing along.) The music for my PPT i... 13 Apr 2008 10:20

lame-3.98b7.tar.tar (gz)
I had a lot of trouble getting my last song to sound right (bottom end). I went up and down with the bottom. After deciding I wasn't that deaf, I started investigating. The new Samplitude 10.02 mp3 encoder in high quality mode adds about 5db to the bottom end! I was sad, mad and glad! Sad that I had not figured... 12 Apr 2008 23:49
Monitoring while recording with Layla 24 - Max? <g>
(same as 1010 <g>) I use a patchbay to split all my preamp signals. That way you can record direct from 1 side of the patchbay and monitor from the other. You have to set up the patchbay to 1/2 normal, that is the "splitter" type setting for a patchbay. It works great that way. You still have to use channels on... 13 Apr 2008 00:36
