My hosts file is 127.0.0.1 localhost 10.220.49.145 plans110.jcdecaux.fr 10.220.49.145 plans110 My trust sites are " http://Windowsupdate.microsoft.com " http://V4.Windowsupdate.microsoft.com " http://Download.Windowsupdate.com " https://v4.Windowsupdate.microsoft.com And the https checkbox is not checked The method 4 has been done too. And I have no local proxy or local antivirus or webaccelerator. The best proof is that all works and I can download http://www.download.windowsupdate.com/msdownload/update/v3-19990518/cabpool/windowsxp-kb888113-x86-express-fra_33a128de05a94c91e50594ef15e1c74b2d93fe26.exe manually. So it's not a prowy problem or I don't understand something.... Just a thought... My XP Home requires: http://v5.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ in order to download updates. I notice that your url seems to be v3 and that you also have v4 OK'd, but nothing about v5. As I recall, it was some time back that the Update Site required me to switch versions... I am NOT an expert, but maybe that change would work for you.
