The really sad part is that most of the competition is slowly phasing out
which really tends to stifle innovation. I actually hope something cool
comes out of the merging of these technologies, but my guess is the CodeGear
stuff will be used for something proprietary.

It was bought by a company selling a SQL IDE, so whatever comes of it is
going to have to do with a database... not exactly mainstream.

Yeah, figures, however, it should be good for the DB company since, even
though they lost the marketing war, the IDE from some of the Borland
software is still quite good imo.

Not sure... OWL was shipped with Turbo Pascal for Windows and Borland C++,
both of which are discontinued. Not sure if OWL shipped with Delphi and C++
Builder. How strange to be talking about these obsolete products.
