However, I've been trying to block the memory of that movie from my head. It was one of those all- action movies with no plot. Well, I've seen worse, I suppose.

But you have to admit, it was some damn good action! Certainly nothing like you've ever seen on film before (or likely to again)... It had as much plot as any Speed Racer cartoon... (Which isn't saying much), but it was a fun movie. I loved the C-64 line! You could tell the 80's nerds in the audience because they were the only ones that laughed at that... Do teenagers and younger even know what a C-64 is these days? Rik

Probably not, considering that the C-64 was already obsolete before they were born, and the Commodore brand is pretty obscure these days. Any one with fond memories of the C-64 is most likely 30+ years.

The only problems were when Speed would talk to a family member for a heart-warming moment; there were far too many moments, and then the movie would slow to a crawl each time. Also some of the race scenes were confusing. A bit of editing would make it a better kids' movie. I had mentioned the Commodore line weeks ago at the #acug chat. As for those with fond memories of the Commodore, we had several atttendees at CommVEx v4 who were under 30, including one who was 9 years old.
