New Videos featuring Jeri Ellsworth & George "Fatman" Sanger
Here are a couple new videos, both recently recorded by Robert Bernardo at the NotaCon/BlockParty on 4-6 April 2008. The first is Jeri Ellsworth talking about creating a demo in FPGA: http://blip.tv/file/821819 The second is Jeri Ellsworth and George "Fatman" Sanger. They show the demo, and they win! http://... 19 Apr 2008 17:54
scanning manuals
Looking for suggestions on settings when scanning manuals. I just got a new scanner (HP ScanJet G3010), and I'm using SANE under Linux (Hardy Heron). The first manual I picked shows quite a bit of bleed-through from the opposite page. I put a sheet of white paper between the pages, but it didn't make a differenc... 17 Apr 2008 07:33
OT: SNES dev?
Sorry, I don't know where to go for this information, but, er, where do I go for SNES programming information? I did both a Google search and Google category listings, but couldn't find it. I remember seeing one before, but don't remember where. ... 19 Apr 2008 12:19
cc65 competition?
I want to create some software for the C64/128, Plus/4, Apple 2, NES and maybe the Vic-20, Apple 2gs and SNES, under Win32 and an running into problems. I tried cc65, but it isn't exactly feature-rich. I tried Aztec C, and the programs in the SAMPLES directory (for the C64, anyway) are *large* (>11k). I have Que... 20 Apr 2008 04:12
CBM Repair Problem
I have a problem with a new addition I have. A Commodore hardware problem that I haven't been able to identify a repair for yet. And haven't found anything on google similar to the symptoms. So I hoped maybe someone else has ran into it. This machine was working perfectly and passing factory diagnostics lo... 13 Apr 2008 01:24
1541 Ultimate 6pin expansion header ... how does it work?
TSIA, more or less. I've seen that the 1541 Ultimate has a 6-pin expansion header, described as being included so it can support an autoboot via cassette port mode ... .... but does anyone have the spec for how it works and how its programmed? I want to see whether (yes, as always) it can be set up for an "SPI... 15 Apr 2008 12:21
Fields (cc65 library) again.
Sorry for the repost, but the previous one got no responses. A few months ago, I created a cc65 library called Fields. It's sort of a dialog box library for some CBM computers. It is simple, but it works. If anybody's interested, try it. It's in the cc65's contrib section. I would appreciate any feedback. On... 19 Apr 2008 11:32
