We are using DDS4 tapes for our daily backup. We are looking for
larger capacity tapes(DDS5) but not sure if the tape drive would
support the DDS5 tapes. Appropriate suggestions/comments are much
appreciated.

Have a look into the tape drives datasheet/technical manual.
Nobody here can tell you anything with the infromation you
gave, wihc is essentialy none.
