I've created a wee director presentation I'd like to chuck online as a flash
file.

Can you export a .DIR file as a .SWF? Or do you need Flash MX? ( I have
Director MX 2004)

Thanks in advance.:confused;

Neither. Director makes Shockwave files for the web. These have the file
extension of .dcr. If you want a Flash .swf, you'll have to start with
Flash as your authoring tool.

Depending on what your presentation is like (level of interactivity,
etc) you might be able to get away with saving it as a quicktime movie
and importing into Flash as a video. Obviously, saving out the DCR with
a plugin detect that throws to the Flash page if shockwave isn't
present would be idea.

Why would you do such a thing!!!

Chuck it up there as a dcr embedded in HTML.
