The limit is a matter of the DVD-drive itself and has nothing to do with
the operating system. Thus, we need to know what type/model your DVD-drive is.

"rpc1" is firmware which can change region with region X tool.

It's probably too late to change the drive's firmware to make it RPC-1,
but you can try playing DVDs with VLC

For many DVD drives, it will play DVDs even if the DVD and drive region
don't match.

Are you sure? I thought that both the DVD drive and the software DVD
Player had the limit on the number of changes, but that it was
relatively easy to deal with the software issue.
