I've just discovered something which maybe pretty basic to many of you, but
to me was a revelation and may help any others who are new to this game:
(cor don't he waffle?!!)
As discussed in another thread, I can only record mono drums into CW because
of a mono only mic input, but I've found that if you clone the drum track
and set track1 full pan left and track 2 (the clone) full pan right, it
sounds like mid-pan, BUT it you press that "phase" button on the mixing
console, (so it goes blue) on one track only, HEY PRESTO : Width!! Although
it's not the same as proper audio. I hope this may have helped someone out
there.

Or you can spend $24 on this plug-in:

Ricky suggested it to me here. Used to excess, it sounds stupid. But just a
taste can fatten up a mono track very nicely.

You're gonna love that sound once you hear it through a mono setup....

It's not gonna sound at all. And sooner or later someone WILL play it on a
mono setup.
