They are pretty much the same on all laptops, simply wires that usually go out
on either side of the LCD screen where they can catch the radio signal. It
should not matter all that much. Connect them up as to whichever is easiest,
i.e. you don't have to pull and tug on the cable or strain yourself to attach

Thanks. Someone was telling me that they may be different length cables, cut
for different frequencies .

Just wondered if it mattered.

Same frequency, different lengths of leads coming into the small area where the
miniPCI wifi card goes in its slot. They'll be easier to connect up one way or
the other. Pick the easy way. You may have trouble attaching the wires to the
little teeny tiny nubs. Don't feel bad if you do. The small size means to have
to position the connectors just right... Ben Myers

The person who told you that was just guessing. But the length of
coaxial cable between radio (network card) and antenna doesn't have any
effect on frequency response - that's a function of the antenna.
Almost certainly one wire goes to an antenna on one side of the cover,
and the other goes to an identical antenna on the other side. It should
make no difference which one is connected to which jack on the card.

(There are circumstances where coaxial cable is used to produce a filter
or impedance transformer tuned to a particular frequency, and changing
the length changes the operating frequency. But this is not one of
them).
