From: Christopher Muto on 13 Sep 2008 11:50 if you are refering to the 'dell *solution* center' icon that appears in the right hand pane of the windows xp start menu... point to the start button, right click, then regular click on 'properties. the 'taskbar and start menu properties' windo will appear. select 'start menu' and then click the button 'customize...' the 'customize start menu' window will appear. click the 'advanced' tab. under 'start menu items' locate 'manufacturer link' and uncheck it. Is that for XP? I'm running XP and don't see a "manufacturer link".

yes, xp home or pro. it only appears on oem copies of xp, not retail versions.
