I'm cleaning up and upgrading my kids Inspirion 2200 laptop - reformat the HD and re-install everything and adding a 1 GB memory stick - the configuration screen on the Dell site shows DIMM,256,333,32X64,8K,200 - so, I guess that means that it has a 256 stick under the keyboard, and nothing in the second memory... 8 Oct 2008 20:09

Tight Screws
A (apparently) motherboard died in my Vostro 1500. The chat guy asks me to remote optical drive, HD and RAM and try powering it on. I got the optical drive out. I got two screws of the HD out.
