From: dev15 on 1 Feb 2008 09:15 Hi, I am trying to contact a SIP server with my WM5.0 PPC device but as it has IP address 169.254.2.1 this isn't recognised by the SIP server when we try and make a VOIP call. Is there anyway to translate this address to one that the SIP box can recognise?? Thanks
From: Rob on 1 Feb 2008 09:43 a 169.x.x.x adress usually means that the device did not get an IP from DHCP. So check that instead of trying to get a faulty situation to work anyway. Greetings, Rob. From: dev15 on 1 Feb 2008 09:47 The WM5.0 PPC can browse the web fine via the activesync so its not a faulty situation, that's the default address dished out to devices when they connect via activesync. Please do not post if you do not know what you are talking about.
