Nikon Capture NX2 for RAW processing?
I've been using Adobe Photoshop's plugin to processing my Nikon NEF images. Would there be any advantage in getting Capture NX2 to do this rather than using Photoshop? Why 12 bits? isnt it 36 bits for all the 3 colors? Why only 2 colors in 640? i thought it should be 640/3 r, 640/3 g, 640/3 blue The image is not raw probably its processed after goin through a a/d. Dear ng, If I have a set of raw values, each 125 dn apart, and a signal to noise ratio for each of those values, is it correct to plot the base 2 logarithm of both dn and snr to show how the signal to noise ratio changes for each additional step of exposure?
