I am very new to Flash and have recently downloaded the Flash 8 trial. I have
worked my way through a few tutorials now. I have tried to import video clips
into flash but I get a message that it is in an unsupported format. I have
tried avi., .mov, .mpg files all with the same result. I tried to run the flash
video encoder from the programs menu. I get an error that says make sure
directshow 9 and quicktime 6.5 or higher is installed. Installing quicktime was
no problem. However directshow 9 seems to be included in Microsoft's media SDK.
There is no download for directshow 9. Can anyone tell me what I am doing
wrong? Thanks.
