From: ICMA Centre on 19 Mar 2007 08:43 Hi This is not a request for dodgy information - I simply wish to replace the educational version of Director MX 2004 I have on my Mac Pro with Director MX 2004 full retail. Does anyone have any idea how to do this? I've triued manually removing all traces of Director but have still got an 'educational' license. Thanks. Flea
From: Dean Utian on 19 Mar 2007 08:54 Hi Flea, From the Help menu, choose 'Transfer Your Software Licence'. Then restart and see if it asks for a new serial number. regards Dean Director Lecturer / Consultant http://www.fbe.unsw.edu.au/learning/director http://www.multimediacreative.com.au
From: Opera Rat on 24 Mar 2007 13:41 I just went through the very same thing. I called tech support, which you have probably done by now. I'll post the answer just in case anyone else has this problem. You have to search for a program on the Adobe site called License Cleaner. Download and install it. It will ask you which Adobe program you want to erase the license information for. Then you click ok and run your new version of Director and it will act like you never owned the program before and step you through the normal registration routine.
