From: manglerbabe on 7 Apr 2008 00:12 I have been wanting to try this product for a while, and now that I have the time, I run into the following error upon program start up: "Licensing for this product has stopped working. You cannot use this product at this time. You must repair the problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling this product or contact your IT administrator." This is the first time I have ever installed this product, or any adobe product, on my computer, so I'm perplexed as to why I'm receiving this message. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program, and received the same pop-up message. My account is the administrator on the computer, so it's not under a different, low level user name. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

From: Allen_Partridge on 7 Apr 2008 09:59 Manglerbabe, Sounds like the installer file got corrupted during the download. Can you send me the installation logs? allenp at adobe dot com. In the meanwhile - try this, trick from Remus; Try installing one of the CS3 products - its possible that it will be able to cleanup the security mechanism for you. Let me know if that works. Our engineering team is working on a solution - these failures have so far been fairly isolated, but we want your experience to be positive from the outset, and we appreciate you letting us know there was a problem. -Allen Allen Partridge Adobe Director Evangelist Adobe Systems Inc. http://blogs.adobe.com/shockwaves/
From: manglerbabe on 8 Apr 2008 00:13 Thanks for the quick responses. ^^ For the first question, I'm running Windows XP - duel core, 2 gb ram, 150gb hd space, SP2, exceeding the requirements for the program, needless to say. lol In regards to the install log, I was unable to find it and the error log comes up empty. But I did the install of a CS3 product and I was able to open up Director without any issues. Thank you so much for the assistance. ^^ If you need me to look for the install log and post details to possible resolve this issue in the future, please let me know.
