From: hmm on 13 May 2008 09:42 I am a user of Excel and Word 2007, and I am rather disappointed with the the Help system. The "What's this?" option is gone, so there is no way to get a quick description for new-feature tool buttons (or a refresher for older ones). Also absent in many cases is contextual help, where I get help relevant to the dialog box I'm in. Instead, Help often displays the general help index for the entire program. Some features are missing in Help altogether: in Word, Outline view, Document map, and a general discussion of Field codes; in Excel, default templates for new blank workbooks and a listing of workbook keyboard shortcuts were not found in Help. I sure hope that Office 2007 will be furnished with updates that will restore Help to what it once was. That would give users the image of Office as the great product it really is. Thanks. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes.
