So, in the DW where you don't see the images, try making a link to an image
that is on the web somewhere, e.g.,

<img src="/lib/com.adobe/template/gnav/adobe-hq.png" alt="Adobe" />

Do you see that one?

______________
I tried putting in <img src="/lib/com.adobe/template/gnav/adobe-hq.png"
alt="Adobe" /> but it didnt display anything, not sure if that web link is
correct.

here is a bit of my script:

<br>

As I say when I view this script on my copy of DW8 at home i can see the image
fine in the DESIGN mode but my copy of DW8 at work just displays a grey box
about 1cmx1cm indicating there is an image

Gad - I'm sorry. This was what I intended to send -

<img src="http://www.adobe.com/lib/com.adobe/template/gnav/adobe-hq.png"
alt="Adobe" />

I'm guessing this means that your work Firewall is blocking those images
somehow. Have you spoken to your IT support about this?
