From: Technovators on 3 Dec 2007 19:23 I am now at the stage where my piece is completed, but I am now trying to decide on the best way to distribute my work via CD and not have someone just simply copy everything. One method I have been thinking about is to copy protect all of the program files on CD and just allow user files to be installed onto the local drive. It will also require a shortcut be placed on the user's desktop. I am using the innosetup installer. Any ideas on what is the best way of dealing with this issue and whether there is any script available to accomplish this?
From: Stephen Gibson on 7 Dec 2007 21:32 I have been delievering programs for almost 10 years just on CD. Its not a big deal. Just deliever on CD and let them play in from the CD. I don't see a reason to load in on their system. We always found, especially in the corparate and govenment applications that the machines are locked down so you can't add anything to them. This is my thoughts at least.
