Ah. It probably was SOS. They're usually pretty spot on with their
suggestions.

Yes. I just installed it (since I can Goback) and it does 7.

I was doing that but was having trouble getting the Delta's Control Panel to
come up. I was launching the wrong program the wrong way (i was trying to
use "Command" to bring up DeltaCPL.cpl instead of deltapnl.exe). But it
wasn't until I installed Bruce's program that I found the deltapnl.exe by
accident while scrolling through the files. It was much simpler even for
someone who knows how to edit the registry since it creates all the keys and
fills most of them in for you.

Soundforge and my J-Station editor was put in mine automatically. It must
look at a list of programs to check for and installs them.

It seems a bit outdated. I'm curious about this.

"Set Processor Scheduling for Background Services

Normally, Windows XP is set to give higher priority to the program that
you are currently working in (the one which is focused). This would seem
to make sense for DAW use, but for maximum performance set this to
Background services. This allows effects, synthesizers, and everything
else besides the main SONAR thread to have an equal chance at grabbing
the CPU and will provide more even DAW performance.

You can give background processes priority by going to Settings |
Control Panel | System, and then choosing the Advanced tab and clicking
on the "Settings" button in Performance. Then click on Settings, select
the Advanced tab, and select Processor Scheduling to "Background
services". You will probably need to reboot to make this change take
effect."

I've read that this may not be the best suggestion. I don't remember if
Noel mentioned that in the CW forums or I seen it from the moderators in
the Fruity Loops forum.

I wonder if this is still necessary since most boards have PCIe.
