From: Gerry on 23 Jun 2008 12:48 I created a web site using iWeb and have published it to my .Mac account it is over 1000 pages in size and I would like to make a copy and archive what I've created so far, and then strip out a lot of excess pages leaving a much leaner web site. Any suggestions?

What is the relationship of the Domain.sites2 file found in the iWeb folder above, and the ~/Sites/ directory that contains a folder Site and a folder Wrights_World, the name of my web site, which both contain the files associated with my site. I've tried deleting the pages I want to trim from these folder and they seem to have no affect on my site. The reason I'm looking to trim my site is at 1,000 pages iWeb comes to slow crawl when adding or deleting pages. When I try deleting pages within iWeb it takes over a minute to delete just one page and I want to delete hundreds of pages. What is the easiest way to accomplish this slimming process?

The relationship between them is that when certain commands are invoked iWeb will create a copy of your site in ~/Sites based on the current site definition in the Domain.sites2 file. The Domain.sites2 file is iWeb's "document" (for lack of a better term). > The reason I'm looking to trim my site is at 1,000 pages iWeb comes to > slow crawl when adding or deleting pages. Back up the Domain.sites2 file and then start trimming within iWeb. It's unfortunate that it's slow, but that is the only way. As far as iWeb is concerned, ~/Sites is purely output. -- "Harry?"
