From: Vito A on 5 May 2008 21:14 Poirot, I completely understand where you are coming from regarding the headaches and costs associated with upgrading to Vista. Microsoft definitely didn't do us any favors this time around. I agree that opening 200 files for 1 web page is excessive, and could cause some difficulty. However, I experience the same issue with only opening (linking to) 4-5 files for 1 web page. So it would appear to be something wrong with how Dreamweaver caches and views the entire file system relative to the directory it has open at the time rather than the links in the currently open page in the editor. I'm using IP v4 (not IPv6), so I don't believe the this to be a transport issue, but something taking place at the uppermost OSI layers. Adobe needs to invest more time in fixing these bugs because we've all paid for the software. It would be VERY disadvantageous to allow these bugs to persist for any length of time leading up to another ?paid upgrade?. If this does happen, I would definitely NOT upgrade Dreamweaver, and I would inform all my colleagues to purchase development tools from anywhere other than Adobe.
