From: IndustrialMike on 2 Jun 2005 09:21 When I attempt to open a workspace in EVC 4.0 SP4 the IDE crashes with the following dialog: EVC.EXE - Application Error The instruction at "0x780104ac" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read". This is followed by another error dialog: The instruction at "0x77f8206b" referenced memory at "0x01780b54". The memory could not be "read". I unloaded every mobile device SDK and tool I could find then re-installed them in the following order: eVC 4.0 evC 4.0 SP4 Pocket PC 2003 SDK .... re-trying the *.vcw file after each of the above tools was installed. Interestingly, the crash does not occur until after I have installed the Pocket PC 2003 SDK. I'm running Windows 2000 with all the updates. A search on Google and this newsgroup reveals that I am not alone. Does anybody have a repeatable, deterministic solution for this?

I experienced many (and random) crashes like this when performing trivial tasks, like "save files" or compiling. I dont think that there are a fix for this, so you may resign :( -- |
