From: Alan B on 16 Aug 2006 14:58 Got it up and running but I have a few quirks. First, once I drag and drop a file when I go back to EZD nothing will play. I have to shut it down and re-open EZD to preview any sounds/loops. Second, I downloaded the update to version 1.02 and it said it updated successfully but EZD still shows version 1.01 when I open it in Sonar. Thanks for any help... Alan

Do a search for EZdrummer.dll and see if you have two versions on your computer. If you do, then drag the newest version on top of the old one and replace it. I had to do the same thing because I moved the dll on my own. -- -- Dave Modisette http://web.tampabay.rr.com/cmodiset/webpage/dave_modisette.htm www.plasticsamerica.com
From: Alan B on 16 Aug 2006 19:27 Yes. The updater doesn't let you specify the .dll location and it put the new one in a generic Steinberg/VST folder. I found it and replaced the old one and all is updated now. Thanks for the info. Now, lets talk about these bugs/workarounds. Every time you open a project with Ezdrummer you need to open up EZDrummer and let it load, right? Otherwise I get no sound. Kontakt, and others do not require physically opening it up before playback IIRC. Also, I still get the bug where once I drag a midi file into Sonar(4.04) when I go back to EZD interface nothing plays with sound. What is your M.O. for creating quick drum tracks? Alan Loving the sound of this !!!!
From: Alan B on 16 Aug 2006 21:23 Dave.....I grab the file from EZD's pane on the main(drumset pic) page just like the tutorial shows. I leave EZD up and just drop the file into the midi track. When I click back to EZD to preview, say, a fill, and press play on EZD I get no sound. I have tried also double-clicking the name of the fill in the grooves pane and that doesn't work either. I have to close EZD and re-open it to get it to play and have audio/sound. Slows down the process considerably. thanks..........

I'll check that...........might have to hold until the morning, though. I'll keep checking in hopes that its just some silly mistake on my part. Either way its not a deal breaker. thanks all Alan |
